Recruitment Events

There are several forums to be held nationally for prospective students, health professions advisors, and the general public who are interested in learning more about osteopathic medicine, medical schools, and osteopathic medical education. Topics to be discussed include admission requirements, application procedures, and osteopathic medical school curriculum. Other activities may include a meet & greet, student panel, osteopathic manipulative medicine demonstrations, or an opportunity to talk to directors admission. Registration for these events is available, but is not generally required. All events posted are open to the public, with the exception of career fairs which are generally available only for enrolled students.

What to expect at an AACOM Osteopathic Medical School Information Session:

An open forum where you will recieve an introduction to osteopathic medical school. A DO will usually discuss what makes osteopathic medicine unique and the career choice of practicing medicine. Generally, medical school students and admission experts will be on hand to illuminate the path towards becoming a doctor of osteopathic medicine. Be prepared to ask questions, and you may have an opportunity to individually meet medical school employees, students, and AACOM staff. When attending an event on a college campus, please be prepared to show a picture ID, and allow time to park and find the meeting room.
