The Theme of AACOM's 2004 Annual Meeting:
Securing Our Future: Quality Across the Continuum of Osteopathic Medical Education”
Sharing Our Strengths to Advance Osteopathic Medical Education
AACOM supports the sharing of ideas and knowledge through
the annual meeting and across our Councils.
At the first annual meeting, our members
enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate
with peers across the medical education
field. At the annual meeting, our constituents
meet to share resources and collaborate
across council boundaries. Anyone interested in advancing osteopathic
medical education should plan to attend.
The second annual conference will be an excellent opportunity
to continue building momentum to enhance excellence in osteopathic
medical education.
Pre-Conference Workshops will take place on June 23, 2004
Our Conference Will Include:
- Council meetings
- Plenary sessions
- Workshops
- Time to enjoy local attractions
- Educational sessions
- Networking opportunities
- Sharing best practices
Baltimore
In springtime, Baltimore offers a wonderful experience. If you want to enjoy what the area has to offer, bring your
family and explore the plentiful area attractions, including the National Aquarium, Maryland Science Center, art
galleries of Fells' Point, and much more!
The Hotel
is attached to the Harborplace shopping pavillion and the Baltimore Inner Harbor. The harbor is on the Chesapeake Bay, which is famous for its fresh seafood.
Registration
Our registration fee is in place to help offset high food costs, AV costs, and other unavoidable costs with hosting a meeting. In order to keep our conference affordable and encourage participation, AACOM is spending money to subsidize each member registration. Other registration costs are being charged in accordance with their share of the total cost of the meeting. When you register, you will be asked to indicate which specific portions of the program you will attend so that we may make appropriate logistical arrangements for each conference attendee.
